The Global Methodist Church (GMC) believes that mission work is important and encourages each congregation to participate in both local missions and worldwide missions. While our small church has just begun, we are already striving to support local missions!

LOCAL MISSIONS:

CURRENT MISSION:
Ongoing - Teenager Support Mission: This will be an on-going mission by way of monetary donations that will be used to purchase gift cards for teenagers in need. This age group of children are often forgotten about, but many are still in need and like to shop for their own clothing or personal items.

Ongoing - $100 per month is given to Emerald Coast Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

Ongoing - $200 per month is given to One Hopeful Place to help feed the homeless in our area.

PREVIOUS MISSION WORK:
March 2024 - Congregants brought in non-perishable food items to donate towards both students and Silver Sands School and Catholic Charities, a food bank at which the students work in order to learn job skills.

April 2024 - Congregants brought in paper goods for Children in Crisis, a local set of foster homes that are capable of housing larger groups of siblings. The homes go through paper products quickly: toilet paper, paper towels, napkins, plates, and tissues.

July 2024 - Children in Crisis School Supply drive - 25 school supply bags were created for the children in foster care at the CIC to donate to their class.

November 2024 - Thanksgiving Meal bags were created by congregants to provide a meal to those in need. Over 60 bags were given out.

FOREIGN MISSIONS:

January 2025 - A group from Cornerstone went to Cuba to support mission work there. $5,500 was raised for this endeavor in addition to many donations of clothing, tools, and other items.

Ongoing - A monetary donation is provided to support a food outreach in Honduras. $500 is given quarterly for “Feed the Children.”
